Privacy policy

This policy covers peakschristmaslights.com, operated by Peaks and Valleys Construction (“we”). It explains what we collect when you request a holiday lighting quote and how we use it.

What we collect

  • What you tell us: your name, phone number, email (optional), service address, and your answers about the lighting you want (style, stories, access, power, preferred install and removal windows, whether you own or rent).
  • Photos you choose to send. Before a photo leaves your device, the page re-draws it, which removes location and camera data (EXIF). Photos are uploaded only when you submit a request.
  • Your roofline sketch, if you trace one, saved as a set of points relative to the photo.
  • How you found us: campaign tags in the link you followed (such as utm_source or an ad click ID), the page you landed on, and the site that referred you.
  • Page activity without personal details: steps like “switched the lights on” or “started the form”, tied to a random session ID. These events never include your name, phone, email or address. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, we don't record them.

How we use it

  • To prepare your quote, contact you about it, and schedule installation and removal.
  • To understand which ads and pages bring in requests, so we spend less on the ones that don't.
  • If you check the box to be reminded next fall, to contact you about reinstalling lights.

Text messages

We text you only if you check the consent box on our form. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. We don't share your mobile number or consent with third parties for their marketing.

Photos

Photos are stored privately for our team to quote and plan your job. We don't publish them or use them in advertising without asking you separately.

Sharing

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the business (for example, hosting, messaging and scheduling tools), and when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep request information as long as needed to serve you and meet legal and accounting obligations.

Your choices

You can ask us to correct or delete your information, or stop contacting you, by using the details on our contact page.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top of this page.
